A conference presenting Doctors of the World’s new report on its activities in Zeebrugge and Brussels, 
followed by a debate moderated by Mieke Dumont 
and audio translation available in Dutch, French and English

PROGRAM:

10.00am: Registration and Welcome coffee

10.30am: Introduction speech by Nel Vandevannet, Director of Belgian projects, Doctors of the World Belgium.

10.45am – 11.45am: Presentation of the new Report on transit migrants in Belgium (“Barbed wire fences and other border measures are a threat to health and humanity”) by different speakers from Médecins du Monde.

11.45am – 1pm: Presentation of panelists by Mieke Dumont and debate on what measures can be taken to improve the situation of transit migrants in Belgium.

1pm – 2pm: lunch break accompanied by a mini-concert.

2pm – 3pm: workshops and discussion tables on four themes (facilitated by experts)

3pm: snacks and break accompanied by a mini-concert.

3.20pm: sharing of the actions and recommendations by the four groups.

4pm: end of the event.
